When you're in faith prison...
I'm in faith prison. I've been here before. Waiting for the magic of Spirit. Waiting for the miracle. Waiting for the sea to part and a way to be made.
For overachieving doers, faith prison is the worst. There is nothing more you can do... but wait. Patience is yearning for your embrace.
But patience isn't an easy place to be in...
when you feel the callings of your world...
when you are healed and eager to expand...
when you feel compelled to do good and be good at what you do...
when you're simply exercising your intuitive knowing of what is right for you...
Patience feels like the warden in the prison of your faith.
Here are some suggestions to make your stay more comfortable...
#1 Do something creative. Some of the best art is born from the murky uncertainty. This is your time to think outside the box without pressure. Make something beautiful... and then consider how to monetize it.
#2 Practice feeling the way you will feel when your blessing arrives. Is it joy? Or calm? Or peace? Or celebration? Practice feeling that way as if you are rehearsing for a play or recital or the big game. Your feelings are magnetic. Practice the most positive feelings.
#3 STOP asking for advice from people who aren't doing what you're doing. The time for advice and guidance is not now.
I know you're seeking comfort, seeking answers, seeking love... but when you are in faith prison, very few people will have words that are not based on their own fears, doubts, and insecurities. And very little of what they say will be beneficial to your situation.
Just say... I need some love today. If they can't offer you the love you need, don't ask them. Call a prayer line. The Unity Church has an excellent prayer hotline.
#4 Watch your thoughts. Your thoughts churn your feelings. So be mindful of what you're thinking. Because when you're in faith prison, you can manifest at an exceptionally high rate. Clear, cancel, and delete all thoughts born out of doubt and fear. Pray for help with doubt and fear.
#5 Speaking of prayer... pray constantly. I recite the Lord's Prayer because I learned it as a kid and it is now rolls off my tongue as an adult. Pray in whatever way feels natural and authentic to you. Maybe you recite a mantra or an affirmation or words of gratitude... but pray constantly.
#6 Be generous. You are naturally a giver, so this is not a message to give more, but instead consider a new way of giving. Maybe give more compliments. Or be more generous with your opinion. Or be kinder to yourself. Or generously say "no." Or consider a new offering to the world.
**This is one of the reasons I offered to design a package based on your needs, time and budget (click the email from Wednesdayevening). It is my new way of being of service... being generous.
#7 Be your own best friend and get to know yourself... again. Ask yourself questions. Journal. See who you are today.
Here some questions to get you started:
What brings you joy?
What does success look like to you?
What do you want?
What do you need in romantic partnership?
What kind of abundance feels right to you?
What do you need from your friends?
What does your miracle or breakthrough look like?
When are you most authentic?
When do you feel safe?
#8 Don't make yourself wrong during this time. Even if others are questioning you, or you feel you are "breaking the rules," remember why you're doing what you're doing and tap into the intuitive "I know that I know that I know" from within.
#9 And this is the most important message of them all, when you're in faith prison, it usually is a sign you are doing something big.
If what you are doing was easy, everyone would be doing it. You are breaking a glass ceiling...in your community... in your family... in your race or sex... in your own life. Barriers are being transformed, so your miracle can transpire. The journey to freedom is ALWAYS messy.
Praise your strength, courage, and resilience.
Take a moment, put your hand over your heart, and energetically connect with other people breaking a glass ceiling in their worlds right now. Send them love, freedom, and empowerment.
How great thou art. How great thou art.
Love to you,
Amy
