"Life is all about learning and one of the most memorable ways of learning something is by messing up." - Dr. Wayne. W. Dyer
What did you mess up this year?
It's that time of year when we begin to reflect on what we have accomplished and where we failed. Pay attention to those mess ups, there is Divine wisdom from your soul nesting in the center of your failures. Know that life is filled with pitfalls and valleys, it is all apart of our journey toward enlightenment.
Write down 5 of your mess ups this year. What did you learn about yourself & life?
Being an entrepreneur is the hardest journey of my life, yet even in the mud of my mess ups, I still get up every morning and say to myself: what can I do better? It is in the early light of dawn that I know that I am a far better person than before I set out on this leg of my journey.
Every failure is an opportunity to make an even better choice that is more in alignment with what you love. How you want to live. What you believe. Where your boundaries form. It is those choices that build character and inspire enlightenment.
en·light·en·ment the awakening to ultimate truth by which man is freed : the state of having knowledge or understanding : the act of giving someone knowledge or understanding
The only thing that can keep you from the wisdom learned only through your failures is shame. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Even if you really messed up. Even if you knew better. Even if your mistake could have been avoided.
The joy of being a spiritual beings having a human experience is to engage with all of the imperfect journey that is this life. You didn't come to this planet to be perfect. You came to live life to the fullest. By taking the risk. Stepping out. Trying. You have accomplished your goal for living. Even if it doesn't go as well as you hoped, know that you have done your Divine duty. Just by showing up.
Your next victory will be even sweeter once you recognize how courageous you really are.
I'm exploring failure on my radio show, The Healing Clinic this week. (Click the link to listen.)
Caught up in the shame of failure? I can help you return to a place of peace and inspiration. Book an intuitive coaching session with me or submit an email reading. I am always here to support you. I believe in you.
PS- As I was preparing this post I was listening to singer/songwriter Jose Gonzalez. His melodic voice is divinely uplifting. Consider playing some of his stuff during your next walking or dancing meditation. The lyrics to this song are so fitting for the topic of failure.
