I found instead looking for a solution asking the question Why I believe, act or have that habbit? to help me a lot. I believe it depends on the personality...
Believe: I have a strong accent- yes, so? Why is that a problem? The pope John Paul the second had a hiper duper strong polish accent when he spoke spanish, and he mean un such a way the social movement, and he was so inspiring...so why is that staggering me?
So again what helps me is finding the booger man behind my believe...Hot dog! I had dozens and maybe more enterviews I got rejected for my accent...In my current job...I am valued for the person I am and not for where I sound like I come from, everyone is free to speak letting know where they heal from, how cool is that...It´s fantastic...
Now I finish with Amy´s touch: "I embrase my accent that is part of my culture and who I am"
It´s ok to want to improve but It´s not ok to feel embarassed to be me.
I love you, I love you, I love you Amy!!! You are such a light!!! :)
